String Theorists will be performing at Pink Day at Meadows Farms in Manassas, VA, to benefit Breast Cancer Research. For this show, we're pleased to be accompanied by Glen McCarthy on bass.
String Theorists retains its core duo of Steve Dockery and Chelle Fulk, and depending on the show, they could be joined by any number of additional musicians, as the venue and songs warrant.
Steve Dockery is the singer, guitarist and songwriter for the band. He also recorded and mixed all the band demos. He's been playing guitar and writing songs for the better part of three decades, and his musical influences run from rockabilly to new wave to celtic to classical.
Steve's band *Batteries Not Included performed extensively in NJ in the 80's, and many of the current String Theorists songs started life back then as *BNI songs. A few years ago, Steve was a featured guitarist/vocalist on the cruise ship Azamara Journey. In 2005 Steve recorded a CD with the original *BNI bass player, Marc Roulier as The Stevos, called "Meet The Stevos" which is available on iTunes.
Chelle Fulk, violinist and fiddler, plays with the Irish band Keltish (look for their CD on iTunes). She plays viola in the Anthem String Quartet, for weddings and other special events. She also runs her own business, Music By Anthem, supplying entertainment for events.
With influences spanning the globe and the centuries, Chelle has a sound that is both unique and familiar. She specializes in studio work and can be heard on recordings by Juliette Sims, John Kovac, Janie Meneely, and dozens more.

String Theorists will be appearing without their cellist, Aron (sadly), but with guest bassist Bernie Muller-Thyme. They'll be performing a one-hour set comprised of mostly originals and a few select cover songs. The Theorists will be the second of three bands appearing at this month's showcase.
Café M is an art gallery and music venue, as well as a restaurant with excellent food, great beer on tap (Guinness & Stella!), plus martinis named after French artists! The venue offers a chic, chill atmosphere and an exciting, relaxed vibe.

In the fall of 2008, instead of opting for the usual bass player, Aron Rider joined us on cello, and we were really excited with what she added to the mix. Aron can also be heard playing cello with The Caroline Mountain Band. We recently completed five demo tracks featuring our current line-up, which you can listen to in the player to the right. We hope to be seen performing together soon, now that our lineup is (finally) complete!
